Meet Our Team

LindaHello… my name is Linda and I am an administrative assistant in the front office for Colgan Orthodontics. I have experience in this position since 1982 with the previous owner and with Dr. John since 1993. Kelly and I happily share the receptionist duties, which means we are the first voices you hear when you call and we are the first people to greet you when you enter our office. We enjoy working with people and our entire team is very compatible which makes your experience with us a pleasant one.

After your initial visit with us, we will assist you with your financial planning for your orthodontic treatment and help you with your insurance or flexible spending. It is important to us that these arrangements meet your needs as well as those of our practice.

Billy and I have been married since 1967 and I have two wonderful adult daughters. Shannon lives in Nashville, Tennessee and Susan and her husband, Michael, live in Aliso Viejo, California. Our children have provided me with six “grand kitties” and one “grand dog”

I stay busy in my personal life with church activities and family. I also enjoy my Mary Kay business, working with my flowers, reading and music. I have found that staying busy is good therapy for the body, mind and soul!

KellyBetter known as “Linda’s sidekick”, my name is Kelly and I work on the finger-scanner side of the front desk. After graduating from Lone Oak High School, I attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles. How did that lead to Orthodontics, you might ask? Working in such a dynamic office with amazing co-workers and the ability to meet patients and their families is what drew me to Colgan Orthodontics. Expect to speak with either Linda or myself when you call the office, we will be the first of many smiling faces when you arrive for your appointments.

On a personal note, I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have the most beautiful twin daughters! Though neither of us thought we would ever move back to Paducah, we absolutely love being here and feel very fortunate to raise our daughters in such a great community! Spending time with our families is very important and much easier in the same town. Being married to a sports enthusiast has turned me into an avid UK and Dallas Cowboys’ fan! GO CATS!

LisaHi everyone… my name is Lisa, and I am one of Dr. John’s assistants. I have been in orthodontics for 23 years and have been with Dr. John since 2006. I have three children: Andrew and Lauren are enginerring graduates from the University of Kentucky and Lexie is also attending UK. I am married to my best friend, Keith. When were not traveling to see the kids, you can find us at the Lake or at a UK or Cards game!

I look forward to my day knowing I work with such an incredible team, great doctor and awesome patients!

TonyaHi! My name is Tonya. I am a 1994 graduate of the dental assisting program at West KY Community and Technical College. I have been employed by Dr. John since 1998, as his laboratory technician. When braces are removed, I fabricate the retainers that patients wear to keep their teeth straight. The acrylic portion of the retainers can be colorful and the patients can chose the color they like; even glitter can be added! We also offer clear or “invisible” retainers. Orthodontic appliances, worn with braces, that help tooth movement and dental arch expansion, are also fabricated in my lab. Dr. John and I work together to help patients get and keep a beautiful smile!

My husband Roy and I have been married since 1978 and we have one son, Andy. Andy and his fiancĂ© Carrie, have a daughter Gracelyn who is the best granddaughter EVER! I love animals and have five of my own… two cats and three dogs. My favorite weekend would include NASCAR and camping with my family. I also enjoy watching the Food Network and trying new recipes!

AudreyHi, my name is Audrey. I joined Dr. John’s staff in December of 2002 as a clinical technician. Prior to the position, I worked in another orthodontic practice in Paducah for 18 years. It’s nice working with co-workers that I consider a part of my extended family. We have a lot of fun in our office.

The greatest change that I’ve seen in the field of orthodontics is the increase in adult patients. Moms and Dads alike are taking their turn at achieving a beautiful smile. Patients are seen every 6-8 weeks for their appointment which gives us the opportunity to build relationships with them during their 18-24 months in treatment. I’ve had braces too, so I know exactly what you are going through!

I have two sons Ryan and Blake who are both married and have blessed me with three grandchildren.

JaneMy name is Jane and I have worked as an orthodontic assistant in several offices throughout the U.S. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mark, and have two grown children Lauren and Brett, as well as three cats (who think they are dogs). The cats live with me and the children do not! I enjoy getting to know all of the patients in the practice so I do tend to talk a lot… we like to make everyone feel like family because all of us feel like family. This makes our office a fun place to work.

When I am not at work, I love to travel, cook, dance and research fine wines (FYI… in my past life, I used to be a wine-taster in California).

SelenaHi… my name is Selena. I am the clinical supervisor for Dr. John. I have been with him since he purchased the practice in 1993. My previous experience included oral surgery assistant from 1969-1972 and with Dr. William Parker, the previous owner of this practice from 1971-1993.

Being clinical supervisor means I do all the “stuff” in the back, from assisting in placing appliances to helping with impressions, x-rays, photographs, sterilization and order/re-stocking supplies for the operatory. My favorite saying is, “If Dr. John writes it on your chart, that means I have to do it.”... gets me off the hook every time! The best part of my job is removing braces, a happy day for all of us!

My hobbies are gardening, reading, movies and walking. I have two daughters, Teresa and Dianne, and a “special son

MarishaJust when you thought the staff could not get any cooler......Dr. John went and rehired ME! I am one the dental assistants and am involved with patients from the initial exam until time to have their braces removed. I am stickler for great brushing and over encourage good oral hygiene.

As a native of Paducah, I am proud to call this my home. My husband, Blake, and I enjoy life at the lake and are boating with friends whenever possible. We have 2 dogs, Rock the boxer and Delilah the mini weiner dog, who currently serve as our babies. I love love love music and play piano, violin, and guitar. I also really enjoy painting and crafting and keeping my husband busy doing Pinterest projects! I am a self proclaimed shoe addict and OCD organizing queen.

Everyday at the office brings new and old smiles that I am proud to be a part of!

AudreyHi! My name is Audrey. I joined Colgan Orthodontics after the previous owner’s retirement in January 2014. I have worked in orthodontics for 30 years both in reception and at chairside. Usually, you will see me at our Murray location in the front office. Occasionally though I may help at chairside. I am happy to help you with finances, insurance claims and scheduling.

My husband and I have been married since 1986 and have one daughter (and son-in-law). We like to spend our free time at our boathouse on Kentucky Lake. Also we love to cook and try out old and new recipes. Other hobbies I enjoy are rock collecting, playing piano and gardening.

I am glad to be a part of Dr. John’s team and look forward to meeting you.

CindyHi! My name is Cindy. I have been an orthodontic assistant since 1981. Over the years, I have enjoyed being a part of creating many beautiful smiles. I joined Dr. Colgan's team in January 2014 following Dr. Allen Moffitt's retirement. A typical day for me consists of band fitting, wire bending, impressions, lab work, fabrication of retainers and much more! You may see me in both the Paducah and Murray locations.

On a personal note, I have taken the skills I acquired in bending wires and applied it to my jewelry business.I've been creating my own, unique artisan jewelry for twelve years now. I love creating new designs (about as much as helping create new smiles!!) I also love traveling. Now, let me tell you about my 4-legged child- Jude- a boxer. She is my best friend in the world! I love spending play time with her.....nothing like that unconditional love!

I am proud to be part of the Colgan Team! I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve a beautiful smile!

EriccaHi, my name is Ericca.  I joined the Colgan crew in June of 2015.  I completed by clinical rotations at this office when I attended school at WKCTC and Dr. John just couldnt let me go so he hired me!  The staff here at Colgan Orthodontics have taught me everything I know about orthodontics.  I have to say, I LOVE my coworkers and my job.

On a personal note, I live way out in the middle of nowhere and I have a bloodhound named Bailee.  Bailee joins me on long hikes, hunting and camping trips.  You can count us in on any outdoor activities!  I also have three younger brothers named Garrett, Hunter and Kainen.  They all keep me on my toes, but that is why I love them.

Working here at Colgan Orthodontics has been one of the most rewarding experiences.  I really enjoy seeing patients' personalities and self-esteem grow as they move along through treatment.  I plan on many more years to come!

JamieHello, my name is Jamie.  I graduated from the dental assisting program at West Kentucky Community and Technical College in May of 2016.  During the dental assisting program, I completed my clinical externship at Dr. John's office and after I graduated he decided to hire me! My favorite part of being an orthodontic assistant is taking final records after a patient's braces are removed.  I love getting to show the patient's their before and after pictures throughout their journey of braces and creating a beautiful smile!
